About Me
About Me
As a UX designer with a background in marketing, I rely on my ability to understand users and their unique challenges in order to design solutions that will allow them to accomplish their goals.
My path to design was a bit non-traditional. After working as a digital marketer for almost 10 years, I realized one day that I was tired of selling to people. I wanted to feel like I was helping people get what they already need, rather than convincing them that they need something they probably don't.
I took the leap into a full-time UX/UI Design course, which felt like a natural pivot given my personality and values. I pride myself on being a good listener, and using my predisposition to being on the quieter side as a way to get to the root of problems (however, I can be quite chatty if we’re talking about dogs or TV shows). Being able to absorb the problems of others can often feel like a burden, but this career path allows me to balance problem solving with creativity to produce outcomes that genuinely benefit people.
I approach new projects with an eagerness to learn all about the industry and problem space before jumping straight to solution design. Discovery and early research with users is the part that lights up my brain, because I truly believe we can't design effectively without knowing what they want from our product.
I'm highly collaborative and enjoy facilitating jam sessions with product managers and subject matter experts to lock in strategic alignment. I understand that design is never truly done, and I welcome feedback at all stages so we can continue iterating and providing value to our users.

Beyond design
In my free time, you can find me watching TV or playing video/card games with my husband, reading, drawing, cooking, thrifting, crafting, tending to our small zoo of 3 cats and 2 dogs, walking in the park, volunteering at my local animal shelter, or planning our next trip.
